Rajouri, July 09 (KNO) : Amid bad weather conditions, heavy rainfall for couple of hours hit Rajouri areas on Tuesday leaving with one person dead while several roads have received partial damage. Police sources told KNO that an unidentified body was found lying in flooded river of Kotranka Kandi in Rajouri which was removed and taken to Kandi CHC. During initial investigation, deceased got identified as Mohammad Javed son of Abdul Rashid resident of Panihad Darhal. Meanwhile, two hours long heavy rainfall resulted in flash floods in many water bodies affecting normal life badly and caused partial damage to the roads. Due to flash flood in Gurdan Nallah near Rajouri town, part of temporary road constructed along under-construction Hill Milton bridge got washed away resulting in suspension of traffic between old bus stand Rajouri and Jammu Poonch highway. Local traders told KNO that some motorcyclists had a narrow escape as flash flood erupted suddenly in the water channel when motorcyclists were crossing the temporary culvert on the road.(KNO)
